CAT 5080 "AMERICAN DEMOLITION" demo excavator
Base Model: ERTL 5080 front shovel
Scale: 1:50

Here is my custom built CAT 5080 demolition excavator. Look at its enormous
size and how it towers over the operator

Like the real machine its front boom is incredibly long

Since the CAT 5080 shovel i had had rubber tracks they were the first
thing to go, and these plastic linked tracks were added
Like any demoilition excavator a cab guard is a must to stop any flying
debres from hitting the cab

Photo to show base of booms hydraulic system

This is a picture to show the hydrolic lines that run up and down the booms

"AMERICAN DEMOLITION" is a local demolition company in my area and
thats where my idea of creating such a model came into place copying one
similar to the ones they had...

The linkage point of two boom segments and the hydrolic system used on them

Heres a close up of the CMM SCHWERLAST hammer I used as well as
the appropriate hydraulic lines added

Picture to show off custom created quick coupler

Since a hammer isn't always whats needed the quick coupler also
allows this model to use a variety of different attachments such as
this bucket or possibly a shear, with just the removal of a pin

With the bucket attachment this demo excavator can also be used in other
jobs besides demolition such as clearing out channels or hillsides...

Shot with another bucket attached for deep trench digging

Another angle of the toothed digging bucket

Can dig to extreme depths

This particular bucket is actually from the CAT 365B L excavator

The bucket can also to be used for demolition

Heres the demo 5080 next to a front shovel 5080
